In our modern time of nervous system dysregulation, we may be in constant stress, anxiety and depression that leads to chronic dis-ease. We want a way out without creating more stress and tension.
Using the tools of yoga and neuroscience, we begin to unravel the layers that we’ve placed around us, which once was effective in protecting us, but is no longer needed.
Yoga and somatic tools can be a powerful tool for regulating the nervous system, helping to balance the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) and parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) systems
Expect:
- Awareness and mindfulness to get to know your state of your nervous system both before, during and after practices.
- Techniques to down regulate our nervous system using vagal toning, breathing, gentle movements, restorative yoga,, meditation and self-touch.
- Community building and sharing
- Longer class for time to decompress and self awareness
- Excellent for all levels of yoga
